Noxious Weed Control

Time to attack the Noxious Weeds!!
Noxious weeds are an on-going problem on the common areas and it has taken years for us to get some level of control on the aggressive growth of these “invaders”, which impacts other plant growth and the habitat of wildlife.

Volunteers are needed now to spray the noxious weeds along the filing roads.
The weeds are growing and need to be sprayed with a herbicide provided by the AIA. Eight designated areas of the community have been identified and if you are interested in helping with this worthwhile and necessary project, please send an email with your contact information to Patty Greeves at pattygreevesaia@gmail.com or call her at 862-8388.

Owners should begin spraying their own lots with a herbicide such as 2,4-D which can be purchased at Home Depot. To learn more about the noxious weeds in Arrowhead, click here to read “Why Do Weeds Matter.”
Get spraying!

Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department

The AVFD encourages anyone interested to become a member of the Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department, no experience is necessary. The Fire Department will provide training in variety of potential scenarios unique to the Arrowhead environment. Members find it a rewarding way to serve the community and meet dedicated, like-minded people on the mountain. Our volunteer staff continues to grow with the addition of new residents, who enjoy the challenge of learning new skills while supporting the community. Please contact Jim at (970) 862-8456 or email avfdchief2014@gmail.com, if you are interested.

Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability Form
Arrowhead depends on all the wonderful people who volunteer in this community.

Before you volunteer for any activity at Arrowhead, please download the Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability Form, complete and sign it, and give it to whomever is heading up the activity (who will pass it along to the AIA office).

You need only complete this form once each year. You should keep a copy for yourself in case you need to take it to any other activity. Copies of the form will also be available at the AIA office or from Arrowhead Patrol members.
